Its hands reached down from the light, which surrounded them both. Brushing its fingers against her face as Purity closed her eyes.

"Look." Was all it said & in those words, Purity fell back through the lives she had cleansed.

In her zeal to purify the lands, had she denied those who had the right to live? Only those who had done great wrongs... yet the angel could not lie to her. These things she saw reeled in her head. She felt her feet step back from the warm touch of the angel & found, as she blinked her eyes, tears welling up.
She heard herself speaking, but no words would come. Her throat was sore as if she'd been crying for days & her breath became hard to catch. Falling to her knees, Purity began to take deep breaths. Her quest for light, her righteous cleansing... what was she doing.

The angels warm presence covered her again as it knelt down by her, never touching the ground, however, as she did. It placed its hand on her shoulder & one around her back, embracing her in a warm light. It was a truth that it had showed her. A thousand years in a moment. A thousand memories. The life of a world.
