Wet footfalls on moist grass. Under his feet branches seeped down into the mossy mud of the dark forest before crackling away into pieces. In the looming trees overhead sat a variety of creatures for the eyes to take in, but this was not why he was here. Sightseeing was for another time. Daviid moved through this forest for a reason & through the seemingly endless, & thick, blackness ahead of him, he rubbed his eyes. It seemed as though the night ate any light before him & any simple ray of brightness which tried to make its way into the forest. For moments at a time it seemed almost alien to him. This trapping of the maze forest. This care cast by ancient magic & the dreams of its inhabitants sunken deep into the roots. He was not equipped for this bleak world & he had not expected to venture so far into his own being.
